Topic

Toolpath generation and reachability

Review whether the selected route can reach the target surfaces and where a tool change, re-clamp or different axis strategy is needed.

What it does

The Agent connects geometry, tool access, machine motion and fixture conditions into a traceable toolpath review.

Ask the Agent

Review the current three-axis route. Which areas can be machined directly, and which need a tool change, re-clamp or five-axis strategy?

Typical answer

Analysis complete

manufacturing analysis / result

The selected route reaches the main surfaces; two areas need tool or fixture verification before release.

Open faces and the main pocket are reachable on the three-axis route. The deep corner and the underside hole pattern are the places most likely to require a longer tool or a re-clamp.

Direct access

The top datum, open faces and standard holes are reachable with the planned tools.

Needs review

Check the deep pocket corner and underside features for holder clearance and tool length.

Release gate

Verify the generated path against the real machine, fixture, tool library and workholding limits.
